IDYLLIC AND PEACEFUL VILLAGE
Moorland View is in the 13th century village of North Bovey, in the hills of Dartmoor. It's one of the UK's prettiest and best preserved villages, with a traditional thatched Devon pub, the Ring of Bells, a parish church, oak-shaded green and beautiful woodland, river and hill-top walks.
Our complimentary artisanal breakfast includes a jar of chunky granola, just-baked artisan bread, farmhouse butter, fruity preserves, a bowl of fresh fruit, freshly-ground coffee, a large selection of teas and an old-fashioned bottle of fresh milk from our local dairy.
Dartmoor National Park is a 368-square-mile wilderness, a world of open moors, craggy peaks, thatched hamlets, Stone-Age hut circles, wooded gorges, fairytale castles and grand stately homes. Two Michelin-starred Gidleigh Park is nearby, and Devon's sandy beaches are a 50-minute drive.
Guests consistently give us five-star reviews on Tripadvisor, leading us to be awarded their Certificate of Excellence annually. The cottage has been widely acclaimed in the press, too; most recently Conde Nast Traveller named Moorland View one of Britain's best holiday homes.
