One of the UK's most luxurious boutique cottages, Moorland View Cottage is a fairytale destination for a romantic Devon break, honeymoon or mini moon.
Our two-bedroom thatched cottage, in the ancient village of North Bovey in the hills of Dartmoor National Park, has a romantic log fire, a huge, luxury copper bath for two, beautiful Devon views from the window seats and contemporary boutique decor. Every luxury is provided, including freshly-cut flowers, 600 thread-count Egyptian cotton bed linen, feather-filled pillows, fluffy towels, scented candles, glossy magazines, a movie library and a state-of-the-art Sonos music system with Spotify. For weekend guests, the Sunday papers are even dropped off at the door.
Moorland View guests have complimentary membership of five-star Bovey Castle, with free and unlimited use of their spa, Jacuzzi, sauna, pool, golf, gym and tennis facilities, along with 10% off anything purchased.
Moorland View Cottage Devon is self-catering holiday accommodation, but if you don't fancy cooking on your luxury Devon break, our cosy village pub, The Ring of Bells, serves delicious food, and we can also arrange luxuries including breakfast boxes, oven-ready meals, farmshop deliveries, hampers and romantic honeymoon packages for your cottage break.
Our village is a perfectly preserved 13th century village of straw roofs and stone longhouses, with an ancient parish church and an oak-shaded green. It's incredibly pretty, peaceful and secluded: the only sounds are distant church bells, birdsong and the occasional clip-clopping of horses' hooves.
Dartmoor is one of the UK's largest remaining wildernesses and there are dozens of beautiful woodland and moorland walks on the cottage's doorstep. For beach lovers, the sandy coves of South Devon aren't far. For foodies, Gidleigh Park, which has two Michelin stars, is close by. Visit our 'Do And See' page for ideas for things to do in Dartmoor and Devon during your cottage break.
