Get 25% off spa treatments at Bovey Castle's luxury Elan spa and enjoy a Devon spa weekend in our luxury thatched cottage
HOW OUR DEVON SPA BREAKS WORK
As a guest of Moorland View, you have full access to all activities on the beautiful 275-acre estate of Bovey Castle, with up to 25% off food, drink and spa treatments. The castle is a pretty 15-minute walk through the woods from North Bovey, or a short drive. Simply show the membership card (in the cottage) when you arrive and pay for anything.
TENNIS, CROQUET & OTHER ACTIVITIES
You have free use of their hard tennis courts, with free use of rackets and balls (ask at reception). There's a lovely lakeside croquet pitch with use of mallets and hoops - again, free. Don't miss the free hawking display every morning at 10am, and check out the programme of pay-for activities, which includes sloe-gin making, hot-air ballooning and off-roading.
SPA & GYM
Treatments at the castle's five-star ESPA spa include hot-stone massages, anti-ageing facials, aromatherapy massages, gentlemen's grooming head-to-toe treatments and his-and-hers massages. Booking essential. Discount on treatments: 25%. The hotel's gym is stocked with a full range of Precor, cardiovascular and strength equipment.
FOOD & DRINK
The silver-service Great Western restaurant is dazzlingly glamorous, and the food wows too. The more casual Smith’s Brasserie serves pub favourites and the Cathedral Room and sunny terrace are fabulous spots for a traditional cream tea. Head to the cosy cocktail bar for a romantic evening tipple. Discount: 15%.
POOL, SAUNA & STEAM ROOM
Housed in the Orangery, the hotel’s indoor Art Deco swimming pool overlooks the sun terrace and the River Bovey, with stunning views of the castle grounds and Dartmoor and loungers outside for sunbathing. The pool has a huge Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Lockers and towels are available in the changing rooms - just ask reception for the door code.
Bovey Castle's challenging 18-hole championship golf course is one the UK's best. Designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers, it rivals its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry. There's a fully-equipped club house, driving range and golf academy. Green fees: £59 per person. Booking essential.
