Bovey Castle's challenging 18-hole championship golf course is one the UK's best. Designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers, it rivals its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry. There's a fully-equipped club house, driving range and golf academy. Green fees: £59 per person.
